Where My Passion for Personal Finance Come From?

travel, saving, personal finance
My sister and I were waiting for sunrise in Dalat, Vietnam

Anyone finds money talk boring? Me too. Well, that was me before I moved out and started to live by myself.
I needed to learn how to manage money properly to ensure that I maintain a healthy lifestyle. Since then, I have grown interested in personal finance as I learn that this knowledge is the key to open up a lot of opportunities.
I love visiting places. I can spend hours on the travelling blog and daydream about my next journey to different locations around the world. Whether the trip is for trekking and hiking in Nepal or searching for hidden gems on our mother earth. Those blogs are from my fellow bloggers that are doing a fantastic job in fueling my travel desire. Or if you like to travel on budget like me, check out this budget travel site.
However, to be able to afford trips, discipline is everything. You have to learn how to control your spending and manage your budget. My number 1 tip is to keep your credit cards in check, all the time. Nowadays, it is so easy to get not only 1 but 5 or 6 cards. It is important to understand what you sign up for - this link provides an excellent source about how to keep track of your credit card - and not lose track of them.
Another thing that is very critical also is having a healthy lifestyle. You can not think about saving money or travelling if you are stuck in a weak body. Here is the great site that talks about staying healthy in the everyday busy life.
Last but not least, my friend recently introduced me to a holistic living lifestyle. This is basically a way you choose to live your life and heal yourself via natural remedies. The idea really intrigued me as I can incorporate this lifestyle into my everyday activities. I have been following this blog as the author did a good job of providing such an easy to follow tips that anyone can practice at home.
Hope you learn something new from my today blog. See you next time!

I am currently studying in Analytics for Business Making Decision postgraduate program in George Brown College in Toronto. I have lived in TO for 5 years and have fallen in love with this beautiful city. Living alone in the city, I am grateful to learn so many skills that keep me moving with busy lives here. Saving skill is one of them. Learning about how to manage your hard-earned money has always been my most desired hobby. And I want to share my learning journey with you. My blog will provide tips and tricks that I have acquired through years on how to better manage your financial situation. Despite not having a financial background, I am a strong believer in frugal living, in other word, being smart with your money. Frugality doesn't mean that you need to live in deprivation and sacrifice your hobbies. I...

Let's Talk about Data

"Google Data Center" by Connie Zhou is licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0 As an aspiring data analyst and a new blogger, I can't stop myself from searching for tools and research to help enhance my finance blog. For this post, I will put a hold on talking about personal finance and spend some time discussing my discovery of Google Data Studio. Google is not only an effective web searching tool but also a universe of an effective marketing platform. Google provides tools for eCommerce sites or bloggers like me to understand more about our audiences via a number of visits, duration of stay and so on. One of the tools I am really impressed with is Google Data Studio. This tool allows users to upload their datasets and generate appealing reports for the audience. The design of Data Studio is very user-friendly and anyone can create attractive reports with simple steps. Below is the instruction on how to create a report via Data Studio: This tool is perfect for me as I ca...

How Much You Spend on Dining Out?

"Backyard Grilling"   by  Christina Schmidhofer  is licensed under  CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 The other day I read the Nielsen article for about the spending habits of Canadian Millenial. According to the article, millennials are the most financially optimistic across generations in Canada. The report further stated that this generation spend the most among their cohorts when it came to dining out. "Canada now has an abundance of restaurants options with eclectic cuisines, which makes dining out a desirable and easy alternative to cooking at home", mentioned about Nielsen report. You can read more about the report here . I have to agree with the report that with the plentiful choices of restaurants, especially in Toronto, cooking at home seems to be boring. However, in my opinion, homecooked meals can be both delicious and interested if we spend a bit of time planning for it. Check out the below video on how to make delicious homecooked meal and you don't ha...
